Verimatrix Video Content Authority System (VCAS™) solutions provide comprehensive security for GO’s delivery of combined IPTV and over-the-top (OTT) services over its broadband network.

Advanced options available for the service include digital video recorder (DVR) functions that can be network-based or user enabled via USB expansion connectors on the STB.

At the core of GO’s deployment is the award-winning VCAS™ for IPTV software-based content security solution, which eliminates the vulnerabilities related to smart card-based architectures through the leverage of mature, proven two-way Internet security protocols, a Public Key Infrastructure public/private key pair system and X.509 digital certificates. DVR support is enabled as a completely consistent element of the overall architecture, enabling operators to retain full business rule control over locally or network recorded media assets. VCAS for IPTV enables complete transparency for legitimate content consumption while significantly raising the level of protection against content piracy.

VCAS for IPTV is a fully integrated component of the umbrella VCAS 3 architecture, which supports a standards-based and fully integrated approach to protected Internet TV service delivery.
