Canon U.S.A. imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 Series MFPs Receive IEEE 2600.1 Common Criteria Certification

LAKE SUCCESS, N.Y. – Canon U.S.A., Inc., a leader in digital imaging, today announced that the Company’s imageRUNNER ADVANCE C5000 Series multifunction office systems have obtained Common Criteria Certification conforming to the IEEE 2600.1 standard. The IEEE2600.1 standard is a Protection Profile for Hard Copy devices used in “Operational Environment A”, which is generally characterized as a restrictive commercial information processing environment in which a relatively high level of document security, operational accountability, and information assurance are required. Typical information processed in “Operational Environment A” is trade secret, mission-critical, or subject to legal and regulatory considerations such as for privacy or governance.
