GE Appoints Three New Company Officers

FAIRFIELD, Conn. - GE today announces the appointment of three new company officers. GE currently has 195 GE officers globally who lead large revenue generating businesses or are in critical functional roles, helping to drive growth.

Below are the details of the new officers:

Anthony J. Aiello, 47, has been named vice president Assembly, Test & Overhaul for GE Aviation. In this role, he leads all the development, manufacturing, testing and overhaul facilities operated by GE Aviation around the world.

Aiello began his career with GE in 1986 as part of the Manufacturing Management Program. He held several leadership positions in manufacturing, assembly and testing at both GE Transportation and GE Aviation. In 2003, Aiello became general manager of the CFM Services Platform in GE Aviation Engine Services, and in 2004, he was appointed general manager of the Structures Center of Excellence. He led GE Aviation’s Global Customer and Product Support Operation from 2006-2009 and was general manger of the GE90 Product Line until being named to his current role.

Aiello holds a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and an MBA from Penn State University.

Alan C. Caslavka, 49, has been appointed vice president, Avionics Systems for GE Aviation Systems.

Caslavka has recently joined GE from Rockwell Collins Inc, a supplier of aircraft electronics to the military. During his more than 25 years at Rockwell Collins Inc., Caslavka held various manufacturing operations, engineering and program management positions, most recently, as vice president & general manager for their Precision Strike Platforms and Navigation Products group. He also briefly held the roles of vice president of Surface Solutions group prior and vice president and general manager of Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence (C3I). He also spent seven years as the director of Navigation Systems, where he was responsible for worldwide Global Positioning System (GPS) solutions for soldiers, weapons systems and aircraft applications.

Caslavka received his Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Industrial Engineering at Iowa State University of Science & Technology, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Nova Southeastern University.

Kieran P. Murphy, 48, ispresident and CEO, Life Sciences for GE Healthcare.

In his current role, Murphy is responsible for driving global growth of the Life Sciences business. Murphy joined GE Healthcare in April 2008, as a result of GE’s acquisition of Whatman plc, where he was CEO. Following the acquisition, he was commercial general manager of EMEA and Asia, and general manager of Global Commercial Operations. Murphy was appointed president and CEO of GE Healthcare Life Sciences in April of this year. Prior to Whatman, Murphy was CEO of several UK biotechnology businesses including Adprotech, ML Laboratories and Innovata plc.

Murphy earned a Bachelor’s degree in Science from University College, Dublin, Ireland and a Master’s degree in Marketing from the University of Manchester, UK.
