Okabashi picks application backed by Skype, Kelkoo founders to spread customer love

July 27th, 2011 - Okabashi, the largest manufacturer of sandals and flip flops in the USA, now uses ReferralCandy to power their online customer referral program. Looking for a way to help customers recommend their shoes to friends, Okabashi found a solution in the ReferralCandy web service. Within just a week of installing the application, Okabashi started to see an increase in online sales. ReferralCandy is now one of the top 10 external drivers of traffic to the Okabashi website and referred customers spend 13.2% more on average.

ReferralCandy is a customer referral web application that plugs seamlessly into a merchant’s existing e-commerce platform. After a purchase is completed, the buyer receives a coupon from the merchant with a discount that can be used at the online store. The buyer then shares this coupon with his friends to give them a time-limited opportunity to purchase the merchant’s products at a discount.
