MONTREAL, QC – July 25, 2011 – Total Diving officially unveiled its first “Mobile app” for scuba divers to keep in touch with latest dive news and scuba diving activities on their smart phone and mobile device.

With the Total Diving bilingual “Social Mobile App”, scuba divers get instant and easy access to the latest posts on the Montreal scuba news blog, Facebook diving pages, Twitter, YouTube scuba diving videos, the latest Montreal scuba newsletters, and the most recently announced dive gear specials. They also get easy links to the scuba diving training course schedules in Montreal, as well as the schedule of dive outings and dive trips for Montreal scuba divers.

“With the Total Diving social app on their smart phones, scuba divers can easily give us a call or send us an eMail. They can also obtain automatic driving directions to get to the Total Diving dive shop in Montreal or to the Kahnawake Quarry, our dive site South of Montreal, from wherever they are currently located.” said Catherine Robillard, manager of Total Diving, a PADI scuba diving center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

“Since scuba diving is as much a social activity as a sport, it was logical to have some sort of social app available to stay in touch with our dive buddies" said Darcy Kieran, Total Diving President and PADI Course Director.

The Montreal-based dive shop has been providing goods and services to scuba diving, snorkeling, and water sport enthusiasts since 1975 from its location in NDG in Montreal, QC, Canada. Founded by Bill Waddell, the enterprise is now owned by Darcy Kieran, an industrial engineer specialized in new product development and commercialization.

Darcy Kieran has been training recreational scuba diving instructors in Montreal since 2000. He is an instructor trainer for TecRec technical diving courses involving the use of mixed gases like helium and enriched air (nitrox), as well as an EFR and DAN Examiner to train first aid instructor trainers. He is an Industrial Engineer graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique of the University of Montreal, and holds an MBA from McGill University in Montreal.

Total Diving is a PADI Career Development Center, the highest rating level for a scuba diving training center in the world.

PADI is a worldwide dive training organization based in California, with offices in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada.
