MONTREAL, QC – July 25, 2011 – Today, Total Diving launches a brand new online reservation and management system for renting dive gear.

Starting today, scuba divers can use any web browser to select and reserve all scuba diving equipment they wish to rent from their Montreal dive shop and dive training center. Staff in the Montreal dive shop use the same system with the same database, which makes it efficient for planning and management.

“Scuba divers appreciate when the rental dive gear they’ve reserved is available and even ready for pick up when they come to get it at the dive center” said Catherine Robillard, manager of Total Diving, a PADI scuba diving center in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.

The system is supported by Checkfront, an emerging leader in e-business tools for schedule-based businesses, based in Victoria, BC, Canada.

“We love scuba diving and every minute spent in the dive gear rental department is a minute wasted out of the water! The Checkfront system, adapted to our scuba diving needs, will help us gain efficiency and reliability" said Darcy Kieran, owner of Total Diving.

The Montreal-based dive shop has been providing goods and services to scuba diving, snorkeling, and water sport enthusiasts since 1975 from its location in NDG in Montreal, QC, Canada. Founded by Bill Waddell, the enterprise is now owned by Darcy Kieran, an industrial engineer specialized in new product development and commercialization.

Darcy Kieran has been training scuba diving instructors in Montreal since 2000. He is also an instructor trainer for technical diving involving the use of mixed gases like helium and enriched air, as well as a EFR and DAN Examiner to train instructor trainers. He is an Industrial Engineer graduate from the Ecole Polytechnique at the University of Montreal and holds an MBA from McGill University in Montreal.

Total Diving is a PADI Career Development Center, the highest rating level for a scuba diving training center in the world.

PADI is a worldwide dive training organization based in California, with offices in Port Coquitlam, BC, Canada.
