PASADENA, CA – Parsons is pleased to announce that Cleshar Contract Services, Ltd., a London-based civil contracting company, has awarded it a contract in connection with new depot offices for Docklands Light Railway.

Parsons will provide electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) consultancy services, including technical assurance that new equipment has been type-tested, supplied, and installed in accordance with European EMC standards so that the new equipment does not affect existing systems within the depot. Cleshar’s contract is for construction of the depot offices. The Docklands Light Railway is owned by Transport for London, and the new Depot offices, located in Beckton, are part of an ongoing expansion that includes improved transportation operations and added capacity. When complete, the new office facility will enable the 21-km railway to better serve its more than 100 million passengers per year. The new office facility will be finished in time for the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

“Parsons is pleased to have the opportunity to contribute to this important project,” said Tom Barron, Parsons Group President. “We know the importance of completion well in advance of the Olympic Games.”
