Texas Chemical Council recognizes BASF for Sustained Excellence in Caring

2010 marks the fifth consecutive year BASF has been recognized with award

FREEPORT , TX - The Texas Chemical Council (TCC) presented BASF’s Freeport site with its Sustained Excellence in Caring for Texas award for the fifth consecutive year. The award recognizes the chemical manufacturer who demonstrates excellent performance in community awareness, emergency response and pollution prevention.



Based on its performance in 2010, BASF’s Freeport site achieved exemplary environmental results and demonstrated a commitment to its employees and community. The TCC Caring for Texas award program was adopted by the TCC Board of Directors in October 1998 to promote continuous improvement.

The Sustained Excellence in Caring for Texas award was created for facilities whose programs are sustainable and / or improved from the previous calendar year. The BASF Freeport site received among the highest scores in the category of facilities with 500 or more employees.
