Intertek Releases AlarmDirect Web-based System Suite

Intertek solutions continue to align and advance the growing needs for alarm industry

Chicago, IL – Intertek (LSE: ITRK),a leading provider of quality and safety solutions today announced the launch of AlarmDirect, the first Web-based system providing around the clock access to intrusion and fire alarm certificate information for central stations, installers, dealers/integrators and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). Intertek AlarmDirect provides enhancements that support Intertek’s objective of aligning strategy, analysis and execution on a single Web platform, while at the same time offering capabilities of this distinct approval process in real-time. Key features of the AlarmDirect release include additional reporting and tracking into the Alarm System Description Certificates, enhanced data storage for quick access to and visibility into prior work completed.

Features in the new AlarmDirect include:

*Creation and delivery of Alarm System Description Certificates - AlarmDirect is the first of its kind as it is a Web based system offering around the clock access and immediate results, allowing central stations and installers to generate intrusion and fire certificates in a fraction of the time with seamless integration between central stations, installers, NRTLs and AHJs.
*Direct path to review, publication and notification of alarm system certificates – Decreased waiting times for alarm system certificates is reduced because installers can produce and deliver certificates to each relevant AHJ within 24 hours. AHJs, including fire marshals and insurers, receive electronic notification of certificate completion and can check status of all certificated properties in their territory at all times, once registered in the system.
*Real-time access – New interfaces give complete access into the completion of alarm system certificates, increasing a faster turnaround and enhance customer service. Additionally, the system also features quick-click selection tabs to speed the data entry process, save and print preview options, along with automated email notifications for requests and reminders
