Masco Corporation Foundation Provides New Grant

Taylor, Mich. - In partnership with the City of Taylor, the Masco Corporation Foundation has provided its second major grant in support of the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens. The donation will go toward the creation of the Masco Garden Pavillion. The second gift from Masco follows a significant multi-year contribution to the Conservancy made in 2006 that helped launch the ongoing botanical garden project in Taylor.

“The new Masco Garden Pavillion at the Taylor Conservatory site will provide a beautiful and convenient option for community gatherings, private events, shelter in inclement weather, exhibitions and festivals,” said Melonie Colaianne, president of Masco Corporation Foundation. “We’re excited to see the Conservatory make use of this new facility to diversify and enhance its revenue stream with a focus on promoting the improvement and sustainability of the overall project.”

With the support of individuals and organizations like Masco Corporation Foundation, thousands of trees, rose bushes, shrubs and bulbs have already been planted in the botanical garden. To date, the Taylor Conservatory and Botanical Gardens capital campaign has raised over $600,000 in cash and pledges toward its $1.1 million goal.
