The Jaycees is an organization of young professionals who devote their time and resources to support local charities.

What makes the Jaycees unique is the diverse array of charities that benefit from their work. The individual members who run each fundraiser choose the charity that will benefit from the particular fundraiser.

The latest fundraiser is an event called the Duck Race. It will take place on Sunday, August 7, 2011 at 12:00 pm at the Pool at Koch Park in Florissant, Missouri. Jaycees members sell tickets which give the purchaser free admission into the pool and water park. Also with the ticket, the purchaser will get the number for a duck which will be raced against all of the other ducks around the lazy river. Prizes will be given to the top finishers.

Proceeds will benefit Accessible Play, Inc, an organization in Florissant, Missouri which is working to raise funds to build a handicapped accessible playground where all children can play together. Tickets are $5 each and may be purchased through the Florissant Valley Jaycees as well as several other business in the North County area.
