GE Money Bank has launched a 24-hour customer service on the Internet. At www.gemoneybank.se customers can check the details of and manage their loans, credit facilities and payment cards around the clock. This service is a complement to the bank’s traditional customer service.

As the principal supplier of IT expertise, Mandator has been responsible for developing and implementing the application. Anders Ahlford, Mandator, has been technical project manager.

“Security has been prioritised in our work,” says Anders. “For identification purposes, GE Money Bank has chosen e-identity, which is becoming the standard for identification on the net. We based the application on EPiServer, which means the information content can be maintained and amended by web editors in the marketing department.”

GE Money Bank is a part of one of the six business areas of the international GE group. The bank has 370 employees in Sweden and 370,000 customers. Other than being a prominent financial services provider, GE is also active within such diverse areas as aircraft engines, energy, plastics, media and medical equipment. GE has more than 7,000 employees in Scandinavia.
