Dan Chu Joins as a Managing Director

Deutsche Bank today announced that Dan Chu has joined the firm’s Natural Resources franchise as a Managing Director in the Mergers & Acquisitions group, responsible for the Metals & Mining sector. He is based in New York and reports jointly to Bruce Evans and Tony Whittemore.

Chu joins Deutsche Bank after 20 years at UBS, where he was a Managing Director in the firm’s M&A group.

“We are extremely pleased to add an experienced Metals & Mining professional like Dan to our global M&A franchise,” said Evans, Head of M&A for the Americas. “I am confident that his track record and in-depth knowledge of the sector will be invaluable to our clients and the Bank.”

“The Metals & Mining sector is an important focus for us and an area where we expect to see continued M&A and capital raising activity,” said Dan Ward, Global Co-Head of Natural Resources. “Dan’s addition to the M&A team underscores our continued commitment to the sector.”

Chu earned a BS in Accounting and Computer Information Systems from Arizona State University and an MBA from the Harvard Business School.

Last month, Deutsche Bank also announced that Dieter Hoeppli joined the firm’s Natural Resources group as a Managing Director and Head of Metals and Mining for the Americas.
