FilesAnywhere.com Raises the Bar for Web-based File Storage

WEBWIRE

Dallas, Feb. 9, 2005 - Web backup company FilesAnywhere (www.FilesAnywhere.com) ups the ante on web-based file storage today, adding ten times the storage capacity to its plans at no extra cost. Benefits extend to all new and existing plans, including Individual, Backup, Workgroup and Private Site accounts. Users now get a full-featured 2GB Remote Backup account for $8.95/month and the 5GB storage plan costs only $11.95/month. FilesAnywhere is still the value leader, with a 100MB value plan at $3.95/month. This latest move puts FilesAnywhere squarely in the lead among current web storage providers, based on both features and price.

FilesAnywhere also leads the pack in multi-user storage plans. The 5-user FilesAnywhere Workgroup plan costs only $25 per month. The closest competitor is charging $99 more for their 5-user plan.

Storage levels are now increased for Private Sites. FilesAnywhere Private Sites target corporate teams, complete with company branding, web administration and advanced security features. Many Fortune 500 companies have adopted the FilesAnywhere Private Site for their employees and partners. Private Sites now offer 5GB of storage and 10 user licenses for $99/month.

In addition to the revised plans, FilesAnywhere recently upgraded its hardware, network and web interface to strengthen its reputation as a leader in performance. FilesAnywhere was rated by PC Magazine as having a "Well-designed, highly responsive Web interface. Competitively priced with unlimited bandwidth" Customer Don Keiber notes, "Your service is an incredible pleasure to use. Not only are the file transfers of my 500k spreadsheets 10 TIMES FASTER (than the two major competitors), but your service is remarkably reliable too. From the day I signed up my files are just there, sitting in the background, waiting for my use. That’s just perfect"

With Google introducing a large capacity email service, both Microsoft and Yahoo email services responded by increasing their disk storage limits without additional cost to users. What email services lack, however, is an organized file folder structure for storing and sharing documents, not to mention PC backup features.

FilesAnywhere adds guest File Share and Dropbox link features. Guest recipients can upload and download files or folders via an encrypted email link, and no signup is required. This makes FilesAnywhere incredibly useful for sending and receiving large files. Features also include: scheduled Internet backup, folder synchronization, network drive letter access, FTP access, file sharing links, upload links, multi-user version control with checkin/checkout, version history with unlimited file versions, photo album sharing, a client desktop application that allows drag-and-drop along with "silent" background file transfers and unlimited uploads and downloads with no bandwidth restrictions.

FilesAnywhere offers free, full-featured trials of all storage plans with no obligation.
