”The Final Destination” Blu-Ray 3D Crashes Into Living Rooms August 16 From Warner Home Video

Burbank, CA – The billion dollar franchise continues with the Blu-ray 3D release of “The Final Destination” from Warner Home Video. In the fourth installment of the successful horror series, a group of early twenty-somethings cheat Death—only to have Death come back for them again and again as they keep trying to escape their fate. On August 16, Death’s icy grip will reach out and grab audiences in stunning Blu-ray 3D. “The Final Destination” Blu-ray 3D also gives fans an opportunity to get up to $8.00 off one admission ticket to see the all new “Final Destination 5” 3D, in theaters August 26. Orders are due July 12 (SRP $44.95).

“The Final Destination” Blu-ray 3D features both the 3D version, which can be enjoyed with new Blu-ray 3D players, and the 2D version which can be enjoyed with both the new Blu-ray 3D players as well as existing Blu-ray players. The Blu-ray 3D release of “The Final Destination” boasts stereoscopic Full HD 3D, which allows delivery of full high-definition 1080p resolution to each eye.

Blu-ray 3D is an extension of the Blu-ray Disc format that enables the home entertainment industry to bring the full high-definition 3D experience into the living room. Old anaglyph 3D technology used paper glasses with colored lenses, which filtered out light to produce a low-quality 3D experience. New stereoscopic Full HD 3D content allows every Blu-ray 3D player and Blu-ray 3D Disc to deliver full high-definition 1080p resolution to each eye. 3DTVs typically use glasses (either bundled with the 3DTV or sold separately) to ensure that each eye only sees the corresponding image being displayed on the 3D TV set.

3D playback of a Blu-ray 3D Disc requires 3D capable equipment including a Blu-ray 3D Player (or a PS3 with appropriate 3D firmware upgrade) and fully capable 3D display with compatible 3D glasses. If your equipment requires an HDMI cable, a high speed HDMI cable is necessary for 3D playback. All Warner Bros. Blu-ray 3D titles feature an easy to understand graphic on the back of the pack, explaining the 3D ecosystem.
