The “Bling Your Bra” Project: Supporting breast cancer awareness through creativity

WEBWIRE

May is Breast Cancer Awareness month and to honor the event the town of Fair Haven, NJ is calling itself “Pink Haven”.

Ann Marie Elia, Owner of All Things Consignment wanted to do something out of the ordinary that would be attention grabbing, and also an educational opportunity to raise awareness for this cause. So what says breast cancer awareness better than a bra?

Ann Marie is calling all professional artists and amateurs, young and old to participate in creating their own personal bra. Bra artists are encouraged to use their imagination, so bras can be creative and humorous. Each bra entry should also have a name.

Those who think they have what it takes to WIN, may submit their Bra on or before May 4th to All Things Consignment, 606 River Rd, Fair Haven, NJ 07704. There is a $25 entry fee. All proceeds will be donated to the Pink Fund.

All bras will be displayed in the window at All Things Consignment for the month of May. Customers and non-customers will have the opportunity to vote for the “Best Bra”. There will be a $2 voter’s fee (Proceeds to go to Pink Fund). The Bra with the most votes will win a $200 shopping spree from All Things Consignment.

This is one uplifting contest!
