New York, NY 4/18/11 Episode 13 of eHarlemTV, a monthly hyper-local news series spotlighting the people, places and events of East Harlem and its neighbors, features an in-depth talk with Robert J. Rodriguez, who was elected to the state assembly in November of 2010. This special edition of “eHarlem Speaks” airs this Tuesday, April 19, at 9 PM on MNN 4, Time Warner Channel 67, and will re-air on Brooklyn’s B-Cat and the Bronxnet on dates to be announced.

The former Chairman of New York’s Community Board 11, Rodriguez was born and raised in East Harlem, attending local schools and going on to receive his B.A. from Yale University and an MBA from NYU. He has also served on the boards of a number of organizations serving the community that he now represents in the New York State Assembly, among them the Upper Manhattan Empowerment Zone. eHarlemTV’s host, veteran commentator Fred Noriega conducted the interview in the studio at Digital Laundry, an East Harlem production facility.

With eHarlemTV, this vibrant and rapidly changing enclave – also known as El Barrio, Spanish Harlem and now SpaHa – joins the micro-news revolution taking place in cities around the country. “Only a tragedy in East Harlem makes the news,” says George Rivera, creator of eHarlemTV. “Unlike other news outlets, eHarlemTV reports all of the things that make this a neighborhood with a story to tell. “
