Financial and legal recruitment specialists, Sellick Partnership, teamed up with Downtown Manchester in Business to sponsor their first Manchester Economy Forum in association with Manchester City Council.

Over fifty of Manchester’s business men and women attended the Economy Forum at RBS in Spinningfields on Thursday 7th April.

John Holden from The New Economy and Steve Crompton from RSM Tenon explored the impact of the March budget, presented the findings of the New Economy’s latest quarterly review and highlighted the financial support, investment and advice that is available to the city’s business community.

Frank McKenna, Chairman of Downtown in Business, lead an audience discussion which presented a true account of how Manchester businesses worked through the financial crisis and sourced advice from financial specialists within the audience.

Specialising in the VAT sector, Jo Sellick, Managing Director of Sellick Partnership, attended the Economy Forum and commented, “We were really pleased to sponsor the first Manchester Economy Forum. It was well organised and had a good representation of Manchester’s financial industry.

“I particularly found John’s presentation and Steve’s input very informative, giving us a greater insight into the economy as it stands. Downtown in Business’ events always have a good informal platform for networking with like-minded professionals.”

Jo Sellick finished the Forum by presenting the winner of the business card draw with a bottle of champagne.
