Monique Luhillier Gowns - Toast of the Tastemakers in Tinseltown

Scarlett Johanson , one of the current Hollywood ’it’ girls, fell unabashedly head-over-heels for “this lovely summery poppy dress, that has that old Hollywood feel.” Johansson was gushing about a stunning but under-stated Monique Luhillier gown which she (Johansson) wore to the premiere of her movie “Vicky Barcelona”.

According to Tina Gastineau, a fashion trend editor online: "the number of stars and starlet’s wearing Monique’s creations are growing every awards nights. You see many of them wearing a gown for one awards and then wearing another Luhillier creation for the after-parties.”

Monique Luhillier, a Filipina from Cebu island in the Philippines is currently the toast of the youngish Hollywood set, recently Reese Witherspoon validated this trend by wearing a custom made blush hued number with a Chantilly lace corset bodice, a gown that truly wowed the guests and made Witherspoon and daughter Ava, truly radiant on that special day.

Mandy Moore wore a Monique Lhuillier to the 2011 Academy Awards. Her glittering off the shoulder sequin dress was chosen from the Spring 2011 collection and featured a blush colored tulle skirt.
Other notable actresses donning a Luhillier are Ana Paquin, and stunning Odette Yutsman Catherine Zeta-Jones wore a stunning emerald tiered strapless dress and was a favorite of fashion commentators covering the red carpet.

So what makes Monique’s creations so special? According to Gastineau: “Well she obviously has a handle and angle for the big occasion, she knows what understated class is, her colors bring out the looks of those who wear it and flatter their figures as well... what more can you ask for?” Indeed.
