United Martial Arts Wentzville Receives Business of the Month Award

United Martial Arts of Wentzville, was named Business of the Month by Above & Beyond Chiropractic. The award, which recognizes innovation in the promotion of employee and community health and wellness was presented to Master Matthew Boyer, owner and instructor at United Martial Arts, during the Health Screening at United Martial Arts Wentzville on March 19, 2011.

“We have made it our mission over the next 12 months to recognize and support the efforts of local businesses to further community and employee health and wellness,” said Dr. Eric Glass of Above & Beyond Chiropractic. “We selected United Martial Arts for this month’s award because Taekwondo is not merely a martial art for self-defense, it is a physical exercise for both young and old to develop strength and agility and to maintain health, both physically and mentally. Dr. Dan Wesling, also of Above & Beyond Chiropractic, added, “Master Boyer teaches that Taekwondo is a sport for the entire physical system generating energy in every organ of the body, developing the muscles and stimulating the brain. Taekwondo training teaches students to gain self-confidence, earn better grades in school, to be leaders, and to live a healthy and productive life. Taekwondo is really a way of life for the entire family.

One Hundred students and family members attended the screening, in addition to the Business of the Month Award presentation which also featured complimentary chair massages.

“At United Martial Arts Boyer Academy we strive to not only promote the value of self defense, but to understand the importance of health. If your body is a tool used to defend you, it must be maintained properly through nutrition and exercise. We are deeply moved that our school was chosen for Business of the Month. It is nice to know that our values on health and wellness are noticed. Thank you Dr. Glass and Dr. Wesling for being great influences on my school and students,” said Master Boyer, Owner and Instructor.

Dr. Glass and Dr. Wesling are licensed Doctors of Chiropractic. Dr. Glass established his practice in 2008 on the principle that overall health is a product of regular care and healthy lifestyle choices. Through their community outreach initiatives, Business of the Month program and Wentzville Wellness Workshops, Above & Beyond Chiropractic educates hundreds of area residents annually about wellness trends and the art of living optimally.
