EMC Receives Global Supplier Award from Vodafone

Hopkinton, Mass.-Monday, May 1, 2006, EMC Corporation, the world leader in information management and storage, today announced that Vodafone, a world- leading mobile telecommunications company, has awarded EMC with the 2006 Vodafone Global Supplier Award in the “Best Performance in IT” category following Vodafone’s Global Supplier Conference in March 2006.

Recognized for achieving best performance in helping Vodafone deliver a customer-focused service, EMC has attained Vodafone’s number one ranking in terms of corporate responsibility, financial stability, commercial performance, technology, quality management and delivery capability. The award was presented to Rainer Erlat, EMC’s Senior Vice President of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

The Vodafone Supplier Performance Management Programme was initiated in 2004 with suppliers to Vodafone in the categories of IT, Networks and Services. EMC was recognized as the best-performing supplier from a pool of approximately 120 global suppliers to Vodafone Group and its operating companies.
