Winner of first Mr. Norm’s Collector Series Cuda to be announced in Las Vegas on April 10th

LAS VEGAS, Nevada, March 18, 2011 – MATS, The Moparty at the Strip, a three-day motorsports extravaganza to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, on April 8-10, 2011, today announced that April 10th is the deadline to purchase tickets to win the first Sox & Martin Collectors Series Super Street Cuda (Serial Number 1). The winner of this charity raffle will be announced at the MATS event on the same day.

Each ticket for the Mr. Norm’s Super Street Cuda drawing is just $25.00 (or $40.00 for two tickets) and can be purchased online at the MATS website (www.matslv.com).

Net proceeds from the Sox & Martin Collectors Series Super Street Cuda giveaway will be donated to the Ronnie Sox Foundation, which supports the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and teaches awareness and early detection for prostate cancer.

Created by Mr. Norm’s Garage, a developer of new turnkey performance vehicles, vehicle packages, parts and accessories, and vintage muscle cars built to order, the new Sox & Martin Collectors Series Super Street Cuda is a specially prepared Dodge Challenger retrofitted with many Cuda-style upgrades. It is powered by a 6.1L supercharged HEMI® engine and bears the same red, white & blue paint scheme and graphics as the original National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Pro Stock National Championship winning Sox & Martin Hemi Cuda.

According to MATS President Phil Painter, creation of the Sox & Martin Collectors Series Super Street Cuda and the Serial Number 1 charity raffle are fitting tributes to Ronnie Sox, one of the winningest drivers in NHRA history. Painter commented, “Ronnie Sox’s wife, Diane, has said that Ronnie’s life was about doing and giving. He was a true champion in life and on the drag strip. I can’t think of a more worthwhile cause for this drawing than the Ronnie Sox Foundation.”

The Sox & Martin Super Street Cuda was debuted at the MATS 2010 on March 26, 2010, by Diane Sox; Buddy Martin, Ronnie Sox’s partner in the legendary Sox & Martin Drag RacIng Team; and Bill Sefton and Mike Staveski of Mr. Norm’s Garage. Following the event, Diane Sox displayed the vehicle at major automotive venues all over the United States during 2010. At each event, enthusiasts and collectors had the opportunity to meet her and purchase tickets to win the Cuda at MATS 2011. She will be on hand at the event to draw the winning ticket.
