NEW YORK – Fans of professional football have been looking forward to a major event taking place this weekend, as the NFL Draft comes to New York City. This year, HUMMER will be a major “player” as the Official Vehicle of the NFL Draft.

Reggie Bush will be presented with the keys to two brand-new HUMMER H2’s, which he will drive for one year. Bush was the Heisman Trophy winner in 2005, as tailback for the University of Southern California Trojans.

“Last year, HUMMER and ESPN sponsored the NFL Draft Pre-party, and it proved to be a fantastic venue for us to introduce the world to the all-new midsize HUMMER H3. We expect the Draft will come through for us again this year,” said Martin Walsh, HUMMER’s general manager.

HUMMER’s sponsorship of the NFL Draft will be a fully integrated promotion, including print, web, radio, TV and podcast elements. Fans will be able to get a behind-the-scenes look at the Draft through the eyes of Reggie Bush. A video crew has followed him all week, and video clips of his meetings and appearances will be available exclusively on the hummer.com website. “We are always enhancing our website with new and innovative offerings. We think the NFL Draft daily updates are something consumers will definitely want to check out,” said Walsh.

HUMMER vehicles are also being used to shuttle the athletes and their families around New York for all of the Draft week festivities. HUMMER will run NFL Draft-themed print and radio ads in national media outlets, including USA Today, ESPN, NFL Network and Fox Sports.

Jonathon Vilma of the New York Jets and BET personality Darrien (Big Tigga) Morgan. HUMMER H3 vehicles will be on display in front of the club as the hottest names in sports and entertainment make their entrance. Many current NFL players and members of the incoming NFL “Class of 2006” are scheduled to attend the gala.

Also as part of its relationship with ESPN, HUMMER will have H3 vehicle displays and special NFL draft viewing parties this weekend for football fans at ESPN Zone restaurants in Anaheim, Atlanta, Baltimore, Chicago, Denver, Las Vegas, New York, and Washington D.C. The NFL Draft begins Saturday at noon at Radio City Music Hall. Coverage will air live on ESPN and the NFL Network.

HUMMER is a division of General Motors Corp. (NYSE: GM), the world’s largest vehicle manufacturer, which employs about 321,000 people globally. The HUMMER product line-up consists of three models, the H1 Alpha, based on the military HUMVEE, the H2 and the H3. The H2 SUV went on sale in July 2002 and the H2 SUT was first available in the summer of 2004. The midsize H3 began arriving in dealer showrooms in May 2005.
