Embarcadero Webinar: Multi-Tier Development with DataSnap XE

SAN FRANCISCO – Feb. 23, 2011 — Join Embarcadero and Delphi expert Bob Swart on Wednesday, March 2 for a free, one hour webinar and walk through a real-world DataSnap® application, covering topics such as security, authentication and deployment. The DataSnap framework enables users to build multi-tier applications with the server built in Delphi and C++Builder, and connect with them via a wide variety of clients and protocols.

In this webinar, attendees will learn how to create a small, but real-world DataSnap server and client application, including security and deployment details. Security demonstrations will cover authentication and role-based authorization, including authorization rules for exported TDataSetProviders.

Attendees will also learn how to:
- Create a DataSnap server in Delphi, examining possible server targets and deployment strategies
- Add security using authorization (login) and role-based authentication (for server methods and TDataSetProviders)
- Export and update nested-datasets using autoincrement primary keys
