DosSantos pointed out that his products are fresh from the start because they are flash frozen at temperatures as low as –40 degrees Fahrenheit, as opposed to the regular 0 degrees in a regular refrigerator. “When products are flash frozen, the water content inside the food tissue freezes rapidly, forming much smaller ice crystals than in traditional freezing methods,” DosSantos said. “Smaller crystals preserve the tissue and enhance the flavor and freshness.”

DosSantos is no stranger to the value of home delivery. He created Better Than A Bistro, using his 22 years of experience with his former company. DosSantos has used his knowledge and industry experience to provide better, more affordable prices and an improved customer experience.

DosSantos’ 22-year career includes sales and marketing expertise in the direct home delivery food service industry. He graduated college in 1988 with a degree in technical management from Western New England College and soon after began working for Horizon Foods as a direct sales representative.
