Jungo Releases Full Short-Range Connectivity Software for Android OS

SAN JOSE, CA, — Jungo Ltd., a leading provider of connectivity software, today announced the release of its short-range connectivity solution for the Android operating system.

Android, from Google, is the world’s fastest growing operating system for smartphones and mobile Internet devices (MIDs). Jungo’s feature-rich software solution will enable the Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) of Android-based devices to easily integrate advanced USB and Bluetooth functionality into their products and bring them rapidly and cost-effectively to market.

Mobile application processors require short-range connectivity for a wide range of use cases, including USB-IC support for digital baseband, USB device functionality for PC suites and connectivity with in-vehicle Infotainment systems for Ethernet tethering, Terminal Mode, application sharing and media streaming. These protocols and others are supported by the Jungo solution.
