Icelandair to hold ice skating event in Boston for children’s charity

A children’s charity ice skating event, titled ‘The Last Bostonian Skating’, is to be held in Boston, Massachusetts on March 5th, 2011, by Iceland’s leading airline, Icelandair.

‘The Last Bostonian Skating’ benefit event is to be launched in order to create awareness for children’s charities, Special Children Travel Fund and The Children’s Hospital Boston. This unique charity event, taking place at Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rink, is designed to bring an exciting, creative and beneficial event to the Boston area, Icelandair’s North America headquarters.

During the event, five teams will compete in a series of trials, speed, showmanship, testing endurance and creativity in the ultimate quest to win a trip to Iceland, while helping to raise money and awareness for a greater cause. Teams interested in participating must register by February 14, 2011.

Icelandair encourages you to bring your family and friends to the Kendall Square Community Ice Skating Rink on March 5th and enjoy free admission and skate rentals while supporting the Special Children Travel Fund and The Children’s Hospital Boston. While at the rink, witness this first annual spectacular Boston event with Icelandic flavor.
