Aeromexico Recruits CyberSource to Tackle Online Fraud


MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - CyberSource, a Visa company (NYSE: V), today announced it has been selected by Aeromexico to provide fraud management solutions for its card-not-present ticketing operations, including call center and website sales.

CyberSource services to be employed by Aeromexico

* CyberSource Decision Manager: An online fraud management portal that will allow Aeromexico to access over 200 validation tests and services to automatically review its incoming online bookings. The airline can evaluate transactions from a number of perspectives, including Aeromexico’s own passenger history, multi-merchant purchase history, device tracing, and global validation checks such as telephone number structure in over 100 countries. In addition, Decision Manager’s predictive statistical model, which leverages both CyberSource and Visa global transaction data, enables Aeromexico to more quickly and accurately identify fraud. Using business rules set by Aeromexico’s managers, CyberSource Decision Manager returns a recommendation to accept, reject or hold the booking for review—all in a matter of seconds.
* Performance Monitoring: The service starts with a complete analysis of Aeromexico’s bookings history and business processes. CyberSource then collaborates with Aeromexico to set business metrics, review performance, and provide easy-to-use business tools that let the airline control the monitoring process. Finally, CyberSource fraud experts design, model and provide ongoing monitoring to optimize sales conversion while minimizing manual review and fraud risk.
