FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Dallas, TX, Thursday January 21, 2011—Telecommunication Properties, Inc. (TPI) has completed installation of a distributed antenna system (DAS) to enhance cellular capabilities at the KFC Yum! As part of the process, the Louisville Arena Authority contracted with Dallas-based Telecommunications Properties Inc. (TPI) to create the system and service the contracts with cellular service providers.
The Kentucky State Fair Board, which manages the Yum Center, will maintain and regularly update the system through TPI. Verizon Wireless has connected to the DAS to provide better service. Center,” Tom Jurich, vice president for athletics at the University of Louisville, said in the AT&T release. “We recognize that with more than 22,000 people in the arena and thousands more in and around the facility, there is a need for great wireless service. Going to an event at this arena has always been a great experience. Now it’s going to be even better with this new wireless system.”
TPI is a Dallas based operator of fiber and wireless facilities in major venues like NFL football stadiums, arenas and major real estate projects. TPI’s managed host solution for cellular carriers will be demonstrated at Super Bowl XLV in Dallas where it operates the largest capacity driven DAS in the world according Comscope who manufactures the devices required for the installation in Dallas.
