Lotusphere: panagenda Expands IBM Lotus Notes Efficiency with GroupExplorer Automate
panagenda to exhibit new product at Lotusphere in booths #409, 410 & 411; Francie Tanner to present
ORLANDO, FL – Jan. 24, 2011 – panagenda, a solutions provider for IBM Lotus Notes and Domino environments, is introducing GroupExplorer Automate at Lotusphere, being held Jan. 30 – Feb. 3 in Orlando, Florida. panagenda’s flagship products MarvelClient, GroupExplorer and GreenLight, all designed to save total cost of ownership (TCO), will also be featured at the IBM conference. In addition, panagenda’s technical director and Lotus product expert, Francie Tanner is leading two best practice sessions discussing client and server management, current trends and challenges.
“Lotusphere is a key annual event for panagenda as it gives us the opportunity to meet with many of our clients and business partners and these conversations help shape our strategic direction for the coming year,” said Florian Vogler, CEO and CTO of panagenda GmbH. “For this reason, we chose to unveil our newest product, GroupExplorer Automate, at this year’s event to allow us to provide live demonstrations to our valued customers and partners.”
GroupExplorer Automate analyzes access rights to Lotus Notes as defined by group memberships and automatically feeds updates based on predefined settings for both new and existing users. For instance, a new member in the marketing department will automatically receive the database icon on his or her Lotus Notes desktop. In large organizations each function or group can be associated with dozens or even hundreds of specific databases. GroupExplorer Automate reduces the effort to configure user access rights for new and existing users by up to 95 percent.
Perhaps even more important, GroupExplorer Automate ensures that access rights are not assigned by mistake or are not deleted after a user changes from one group to another. In an average organization, up to 25 percent of all jobs are subject to job rotations. The resulting effort to re-configure or set up the Lotus Notes Client accordingly can lead to the risk of errors or outdated settings. GroupExplorer Automate reduces both effort and risks, and helps offer significant client management cost savings.
In addition to launching GroupExplorer Automate at Lotusphere, panagenda’s technical director and Lotus product expert, Francie Tanner, has been invited to speak at the event. On Jan. 31 from 11 a.m. – noon, Tanner will present, “Ground Control to IBM Lotus Notes: Client Management Explained.” During this session, Tanner will explain how to take control of Lotus Notes clients with proven methods to provide a consistent user experience across the enterprise (https://www-950.ibm.com/events/wwe/lotus/lsph2011.nsf/sessionabstract?openform&sessionid=BP119).
On Feb. 2 from 4:15 – 5:15 p.m., Tanner will present, “CSI Domino: Investigating Server Crashes and Deciphering NSDs.” This session will provide step-by-step instructions for dealing with misbehaving servers, including what to do and in which order (https://www-950.ibm.com/events/wwe/lotus/lsph2011.nsf/sessionabstract?openform&sessionid=BP111).
