Complete 3G Video Gateway enables voice and video calling, as well as enhanced video services, to be delivered on the Aircel 3G Mobile Network

San Jose, CA - Dialogic Inc. (NASDAQ: DLGC), a leading provider of communications technologies that power advanced networks, today announced that Aircel, a leading mobile operator in India, has selected the DialogicTM Vision® 1000 Video Gateway as the Aircel 3G video calling platform. The implementation of the advanced video services is part of the bigger 3G deployment being undertaken by Nokia Siemens Networks for Aircel to offer advanced mobile broadband speed and high-quality services.

“We are looking forward to deploying our 3G network and using the Dialogic video gateways and media platform in our network,” said Gurdeep Singh, COO Aircel.

“The Dialogic Vision 1000 Video Gateway is our choice for the Indian market given its flexibility in terms of both a scalable video gateway and a multimedia server, and features real-time any-to-any video transcoding and rate adaptation on demand. The gateway will enable the best quality video experience for end users,” said Sandeep Girotra, Head of Business Solution Sales of India Region, Nokia Siemens Networks. “Additionally, completion of a voice call on a video phone is possible with the Dialogic gateways even when the receiver of the call does not have a video phone. This is important, as most of the subscribers in India are still in the transition phase toward using video-enabled phones.”

“We are pleased to offer our robust video gateways in partnership with Nokia Siemens Networks for the Aircel mobile network,” said Nick Jensen, CEO of Dialogic. “We believe this is the largest video gateway contract awarded to date, and look forward to providing video services to the entire Aircel 3G subscriber base with Nokia Siemens Networks.”
