Pöyry awarded EUR 1.8 million sewer reconstruction and extension contract in the Czech Republic
Pöyry’s Water & Environment business group has been awarded a service contract for the reconstruction and extension of the sewerage system in Brno by the Brno Municipality- Investment Section, Czech Republic. The value of the contract is about EUR 1.8 million. A major part of the work provided by Pöyry will be carried out in 2011. Pöyry’s services cover the preparation of a tender and project documentation including the supervision of the works in the period 2012 - 2013.
The project consists of the reconstruction and extension of 13 structures. The planning of these activities shall ensure that the function of the Brno sewer system is uninterrupted during the works. The project complies with the goals specified by the Water Framework Directive 2000/60/EC, the Czech Government’s environmental policy and the goal concerning the achievement of good state of surface and ground waters in the whole EU territory.
