(Portland, Oregon) — World-renowned Master Landscape Photographer - Rodney Lough Jr. - announces the launch of his new adventure nature film series, Stand Here. The pilot for Stand Here will air during the Sundance Film Festival at the Rodney Lough Jr. Wilderness Collections Gallery in Park City’s historic Main Street on Friday January 21- Sunday January 30, 2011. The artist’s new image “Closer to Heaven"– the first in the Stand Here series – will be formally unveiled in conjunction with the screening of the pilot. Rodney Lough Jr. is one of the most awarded and collected fine art photographers in the world and is internationally acclaimed for his stunning landscape photography.

Rodney has teamed up with Emmy award-winning cinematographer David Wright (BBC, Discovery, National Geographic) to produce this bold adventurous new HD series, Stand Here. The series allows viewers to travel with Rodney through our nation’s most scenic and well-hidden locations. “I am excited to collaborate with the country’s best Master Landscape Photographer, Rodney Lough Jr. - a man that has spent his whole career searching for and photographing these hidden locations,” says Wright. Stand Here is designed to share these destinations with others so they too can explore them to experience the power, grace and infinite beauty of Mother Nature. Anticipating the work ahead, Wright “looks forward to the adventure of traveling to North America’s most epic locations with Rodney to shoot Stand Here - a series showcasing the beauty of this great continent and Rodney’s skill as a Master Landscape Photographer.”

Rodney himself has big hopes for his project, "I want people to know about these places as I do, because I think if they’re aware of the beauty that’s out there, they’ll feel the way I feel about them. They’ll be driven to help preserve them for their children’s children to see. Knowledge is the key to protecting these beautiful places.”

The first limited edition photograph of the Stand Here series “Closer to Heaven” was taken on location in the lush rainforests of the Pacific Northwest while scenes for the pilot were filmed. “Closer to Heaven” is truly a pinnacle piece in the Rodney Lough Jr. collection, marking the beginning of the Stand Here era. The official new image release will take place Friday, January 21, 2011, at all five of his fine art photography galleries - Las Vegas at City Center, San Francisco, Sausalito, Park City and Portland.

Rodney Lough Jr. has earned numerous awards from the Professional Photographers Association of America and has received honors from both the US Senate and United Nations. Rodney has shown work in the National Museum of Natural History at the Smithsonian and is currently a member of the Fuji Film Professional Lecture Series Talent Team and is listed as a Master Photographer on Yahoo!
