PHOENIX -- BestIT has selected Susan Silberisen as its Chief Operating Officer (COO). Silberisen, former CIO of the Arizona Department of Revenue, assumed the role in November 2010.

“Our strategic goals include aggressive growth and the maturing and continuous improvement of our flagship product line of managed services. Hiring a COO with Susan’s depth of experience was critical to realize our 2011 and beyond strategic goals.” says CEO, Harry Curtin.

As CIO of the Arizona Department of Revenue, Silberisen built a strong team of leaders and transformed the department’s IT division, delivering dramatic growth and improvement in the State’s technical infrastructure. Silberisen’s former roles also include Chief Information Security Officer for First National Bank of Arizona (FNBA), Asst. Chief Information Technology Officer at Northern Arizona University (NAU) and Chief Executive Officer at New Perspective Software, Inc.

Silberisen’s 24 year delivery portfolio includes a management scope of a 20+million annual budget, large-scale enterprise projects, large-scale IT migration of computing environments to consolidated data center or cloud solutions, as well as talent management and infrastructure upgrades necessary to support new solutions. Her focus includes enterprise-wide information security assessments and regulatory posture approaches, including policies designed to address gaps in controls. Through these and other strategic initiatives, Silberisen has delivered massive efficiencies and return on investment through expansion of e-services to the customer-base, 2-fold decreases in existing maintenance costs, and introduction of sustainable IT governance processes.

“BestIT offered the most progressive and efficient approach for managed services I have seen to date. The opportunity to deliver and scale their model is one reason I choose this next career opportunity,” said Silberisen. “Harry Curtin, BestIT’s founder, has successfully built a managed services company literally designed for the small-to-medium cap business owner. He is addressing their needs without adding complexity and simultaneously providing immediate cost savings. That is a rare thing in the technology industry"

The Phoenix-based business offers IT business and technology solutions, one of a growing number of companies benefiting from companies looking for someone else to handle their business and information technology needs. BestIT has a comprehensive portfolio of exceptional consulting, hosting, support, and management services, including Oracle certified technology, software and applications. With 50 employees, and still growing, BestIT was accepted into the 2009 Inc. 5000, at #621 with a 3 year growth of 442%.

In addition to its Phoenix offices, BestIT has locations in Burbank, Calif., and southern China. While the company is considering new U.S. locations, “As China continues to grow, we want to be able to do business in their nation also,” says Curtin.
