NEW YORK – The Associated Press announced today the addition of Alex J. Berliner as a new contributing photographer for its commercial photo division, AP Images. Under the arrangement, Berliner will distribute his images via the AP Images website to users and AP customers worldwide while making himself available to them for commissioned assignments.

AP Images, with a comprehensive archive of millions of images in entertainment, sports, news, archival and creative content, offers a high-quality custom photography assignment service for commercial entities in which public relations firms, corporations and others can commission photographers for non-editorial assignments, such as sponsored events or tradeshows.

“We’re excited to work with one of the most respected names in the business,” AP Director of Corporate Services and Content Dan Becker said. “Alex Berliner brings a high-level of experience and incredibly strong industry relationships, adding to the cadre of entertainment talent that makes AP Images a key destination for media buyers.”

Berliner has been a professional photographer in Los Angeles for more than 27 years, photographing a wide range of events and subjects for an impressive list of corporate and private clients. He recently founded ABImages. “I am looking forward to a great relationship with the AP on behalf of my clients and myself" he said.
