Los Angeles, CA --- The Parents Television Council (www.parentstv.org) released results of the second in a series of comprehensive reports examining the “State of the Television Industry.”

Analysis revealed an overall increase in adult language in every timeslot. Adult language during Family Hour increased by 94.8% between 1998 and 2002 and by 109.1% during the 9 PM ET/PT time slot. Ironically, the smallest increase (38.7%) occurred during the last hour of prime time – the hour when young children are least likely to be in the viewing audience.

“The fact that popular television characters are frequently using such coarse language has an impact on the children who are watching,” said Brent Bozell, President of the Parents Television Council. “The entertainment industry has a responsibility to reduce this flood of vulgarity.”

Enter “JCTV” — Trinity Broadcasting Network’s (TBN) latest success format.

After decades of constructing studios and planting transmission towers worldwide, TBN has come to a turning point. As its electric pipeline — already one of the largest in the world — continues to expand, the focus at TBN has shifted to a concentrated accent on innovative programming. “TBN plans to offer more movies, documentaries and eventually sitcoms as well as dramas that can reach a broader audience. We’re becoming more inclusive when it comes to venues. This will indeed impact society in a positive manner,” said a TBN insider.

JCTV is one such tender. The network offers stylish, faith-based, state-of-the-art programs with dynamic music videos for those 13 to 29. JCTV features trendy programs that include reality shows, music videos, and game shows. Also, there are relevant talk shows, movies, comedy and competitive sports that speak to America’s youth in a dynamic they can grab hold of. These include exclusive programs such as“TX 10,” an urban music show that highlights the world’s top ten Christian hip-hop, R&B and rap artists. It’s hosted by Grammy-nominated rapper and hip-hop personality, T-Bone.

Music on JCTV ranges from Alternative to Hip-Hop, Urban, Rap, Rock and a myriad of other musical styles. JCTV showcases such remarkable talent as Toby Mac, P.O.D., DC Talk, Pillar, Kutless, and 38th Parallel. All this is seen via exclusive behind-the-scenes interviews, live concerts, special appearances and cutting edge music videos.

Contemporary programming includes “G-Rock,” a fast-paced extreme sports program that includes skate boarding, roller blading, snowboards and cycling. It’s all cut to an alternative and rap style music message. Other JCTV fare includes “WW JD (What Would Jesus Do?),” an in-depth issues-oriented program focusing on teens in faith-based discussions. They tackle real-life themes ranging from drugs to drinking, sexual matters, dating, education and other pressing issues confronting today’s youth.

“There is a massive youth audience out there that readily aligns itself with faith-based programming,” explains Paul Crouch Jr., TBN’s Vice President of Administration “They applaud it. They return to it. They tell their friends about it.”

TBN network planners are up-to-the-minute on viewer response to a variety of telecasting line-ups. The network stays current with what’s in and what’s out in the general landscape of secular and Christian programming. By remaining at the forefront of meeting this contemporary challenge, TBN for over 31 years has stayed authentic to its spiritual purpose by crafting its high road prospectus to an audience geared toward experiencing television’s best offerings.

TBN is the world’s largest religious network and America’s most watched faith channel. TBN offers 24 hours of commercial-free inspirational programming that appeals to people in a wide variety of denominations. Faith-based programs include gospel music concerts, informative talk shows, and contemporary music videos. There are also enriching programs for children, health and fitness shows, news and information programs as well as theatrical released movies and uplifting worship services from America’s premier churches.
