High School Students Invited to Explore Medical Careers

West Burlington, Iowa, Dec. 21, 2010 – Great River Medical Center’s Medical Explorers Post offers in-depth experiences for high school students who are interested in medical careers.

The first meeting of the new year is scheduled from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday, Jan. 10, in the Oak Room on the lower level of the hospital, 1221 S. Gear Ave., West Burlington. Parents are encouraged to attend with students.

Subsequent meetings are scheduled on the second and fourth Mondays of each month through April. The students will explore careers such as diagnostic imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, respiratory therapy and surgery.
