Alexander Meyer auf der Heyde to head up Bayer’s inhouse management consultancy

Business Consulting unit of Bayer Business Services under new leadership

Leverkusen, – Alexander Meyer auf der Heyde (39) has been appointed head of the Business Consulting unit of Bayer Business Services effective February 1, 2011. He will succeed Alexander Moscho, who transferred to Group headquarters. Business Consulting, the Bayer Group’s inhouse management consultancy, is currently headed on an interim basis by Bayer Business Services’ Executive Board Chairman Daniel Hartert. The unit provides services mainly in the areas of strategy development and implementation, performance improvement, and organizational analysis and design.

Meyer auf der Heyde, who holds a biology degree and a Master of International Business Administration, comes to Bayer Business Services from management consulting and technology services provider Accenture. He was latterly Lead Partner for the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Products and Strategy units in Shanghai. Prior to that he served for over three years as Senior Manager and Partner Health & Life Sciences in India, where he played a major role in developing and expanding Accenture’s local business. In 2004 and 2005 he worked as project manager for a global health initiative of the World Economic Forum.

Meyer auf der Heyde will report directly to Bayer Business Services Executive Board Chairman Daniel Hartert.
