In Iceland you can experience amazing winter activities under the gaze of the Northern Lights; which is unique to most other winter holiday destinations.

Iceland has various breathtaking icecaps waiting to be explored. For those who enjoy an adventure, snowmobile tours will prove to be the best outdoor winter activity. Snowmobile tours will allow you to mix adventure with sightseeing, whilst tackling Ice and snow with speeds up to 40mph.

This winter, levels of Northern Lights activity is set to be sensational. This is due to the intensity of the Northern Lights being affected by an 11-year solar cycle, for which the cycle is reaching its peak between 2011 and 2013 within the Northern Hemisphere.
