Delta Adjusts Surcharges for Trans-Atlantic Travel


Rising fuel costs prompt action

ATLANTA, April 13, 2006 – To help offset rising fuel costs, Delta Air Lines has raised passenger surcharges on tickets purchased on or after April 14, 2006 for travel on most trans-Atlantic flights. The surcharge will increase $10 each way in Delta’s trans-Atlantic markets, with the following exceptions:

The surcharge for travel to or from India will increase by $15 each way;
The surcharge for travel from Israel will increase by $19 each way; and
The surcharge for travel to or from France and Italy will remain unchanged.
Where applicable, the surcharge will be included in the fare for air transportation services quoted in any Delta advertising, or quoted to consumers by Delta or its authorized agents. Tickets purchased prior to April 14, 2006, for trans-Atlantic travel in the future are not affected by the changes.
