Adam Bergman Joins as a Director in Global CleanTech Corporate Coverage

Deutsche Bank announced that Adam Bergman has joined as a Director in the Bank’s Global CleanTech Corporate Coverage group. Bergman is based in San Francisco and reports to Chris Colpitts, Global Head of Technology Corporate Coverage.

Bergman’s appointment is part of a broad initiative to increase clean technology coverage capabilities across multiple sectors, including Technology, Industrials, Energy, and Consumer. Bergman will work closely with the DCM, ECM and M&A teams and sector coverage officers to enhance client service and seek new opportunities in this rapidly growing space.

“Deutsche Bank delivers a complete range of products and services – advisory, capital raising, equity investment, and even development – across the entire spectrum of the clean technology space, and we’re extremely excited to have someone with Adam’s breadth of experience join our firm,” said Colpitts. “The Bank’s efforts to be the leading ‘green’ bank include not only its own focus on sustainability but are also reflected in our global business model, and we’re confident that Adam will significantly contribute to that global effort.”

Bergman was most recently a Senior Vice President in the CleanTech group at Jefferies & Company, leading that institution’s West Coast and Israel clean technology banking efforts. Bergman holds a BA in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University and an MA in International Development from the International University of Japan.

Deutsche Bank is a leader in the clean technology space, raising capital for industry leaders across all sectors. Examples include acting as a bookrunner on the US$250mm convertible bond for SunPower, the US$242mm IPO for Elster, and the US$226mm IPO for Tesla Motor; sole placement agent on a US$106mm private placement for Trilliant, and placement agent on a US$50mm private placement for BrightSource Energy.
