Wood Gun E100 Excels in EPA Testing

WEBWIRE

In recent testing conducted as a prelude to the Wood Gun achieving EPA Phase 2 certification, the Wood Gun E100 produced extraordinary test results. Peak efficiency registered an astonishing 97.8% (LHV). Particulate emissions at peak output were recorded at .06 grams per megajoule of delivered heat energy. Test results were recorded using the EPA’s testing method developed for outdoor wood boilers. Utilizing this method, radiant heat delivered from the boiler was not included in energy output. In an indoor application, in which this radiant heat would often be delivered as useful heat, the E100 would register even better performance. The Wood Gun utilizes wood gasification to achieve outstanding efficiency when burning both conventional firewood and biomass. Product development of the Wood Gun boiler lineup continues with ongoing investments in R&D. The Wood Gun is manufactured by Alternate Heating Systems, LLC, Saint Thomas, PA.
