This year’s Rice Expo at the COEX Conference and Exhibition Centre in Seoul takes place in late November, beginning on the 18th of the month and running for three days until the 21st. The event already plays a large role as a leading marketplace provider of rice and fermented products, and that responsibility is only set to increase with this year’s Expo.

The Seoul Rice Expo is dedicated on continuing to raise awareness of the importance of rice and fermented food in the fight to alleviate poverty and malnutrition and provide food security for those in poverty who need it the most.

The Rice Expo is aimed at professionals from trading companies, local governments and other associated organisations, those in the fermented food industry and members of the general public. Exhibitions include those devoted to rice, as well as rice processed food such as soup, cakes, noodles, cakes, cookies etc, and related machinery such as rice polishing and wrapping machines. Other fermented foods to be included in the exhibition include pastes, pickled fish, rice wine, sauces and vinegars, as well as exhibitions of food preserving containers including but not limited to refrigerators.
