Whistleblower Advocates Ask Candidates to State Position on Whistleblower Issues

WEBWIRE

Washington, D.C. October 19, 2010. Members of the National Whistleblowers Center’s Action Alert Network sent a survey to Congressional candidates asking for their position on whistleblower protection. The National Whistleblowers Center has already received a number of responses from candidates across the political spectrum, including Republican, Democrat, Independent, Reform Party, Green Party, Constitution Party, and Libertarian candidates.

Lindsey M. Williams, Director of Advocacy and Development of the National Whistleblowers Center said, “We are pleased with the initial response to this grassroots effort to find out where candidates stand on the issue of protecting whistleblowers and enhancing oversight and accountability. We urge all voters to send the survey to their candidates and demand that they publicly state their position on whistleblower protection.”
