Honda Generators Remain ’Official Generator’ of Talladega Superspeedway

Honda Power Equipment today announced the continuation of its annual sponsorship agreement with Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama for the 2010/2011 race season. The Honda Super Quiet Series of portable generators will remain as the track’s ’Official Generator’, powering racing activities throughout the season. Talladega Superspeedway has played a major role in the development of many careers of NASCAR® drivers as they built reputations for setting records and taking wins at one of the largest, fastest and most competitive tracks on the circuit.

As an official sponsor, Honda Generators will once again host an interactive tailgating exhibit during each NASCAR® race throughout the season. The company’s ’Hear No Evil’ quiet generator display, designed to demonstrate the full line of Honda generators to race attendees, will be featured prominently in the Corporate Sponsor Fan Zone area at Talladega. In addition, Honda representatives will be on hand to answer questions and provide support to the race teams, fans, vendors and recreational vehicles that rely upon generator power at each race.

“Our work with Talladega Superspeedway is a truly dynamic way for Honda Generators to be a part of the action on race day,” said Scott Conner, vice president, Honda Power Equipment. “We look forward to providing racing teams and racing enthusiasts durable, quiet and dependable power for another season.”

Honda Power Equipment markets a complete line of generators for commercial and consumer applications. Lightweight, compact Honda generators produce between 1,000 and 6,500 watts of power, providing smooth, dependable power for recreation, construction, rental, and emergency use.

All Honda generators are powered by Honda four-stroke engines that make these generators among the world’s quietest. Honda generators for typical residential use average 68 -72 decibels (dB) (at rated load at 7m, average of four sides), with the Super Quiet series operating at noise levels as low as 49 dB, roughly the noise level in a private office.
