Bed Bug Outbreak Effects Shock Jock, Howard Stern’s Midtown Manhattan Studio And Limousine

Citywide bed bug outbreak spreads to Howard Stern’s limousine and Midtown Manhattan WENN studio from where he broadcasts his Sirius XM show causing the radio host to call for unbanning DDT.

Austin, TX – September 30, 2010 – No one in New York City is safe from catching bed bugs since reports of massive infestations were reported earlier this summer. Howard Stern’s studio and limousine were fumigated over the weekend after bed bug where discovered implementing a full fledged invasion. Stern took the opportunity to blame hippies and the ban of DDT for bed bugs making a comeback.

Bed bugs are easily spread. Stern’s limo bed bugs were discovered by specially trained bed bug sniffing dogs. Both the studio and the limo were bombed with poisonous gas over the weekend. Stern said on his radio show: “Supposedly we’re 100 percent bed bug-free. The only place in New York City that probably is 100 percent bed bug-free ... (But) I’m scratching every minute.” He went on to point the finger at environmentalists and the ban of DDT for the very serious outbreak affecting the country, especially New York City, by saying: “Now they’re back! Because of hippies with their goddamn DDT-inhibition!,” he proclaimed.

The likelihood of DDT coming back on the market is slim. Fumigation is currently the most effective means of killing pests but a licensed professional is needed to disperse the chemicals. Sprays bought at any home store have proven to be ineffective and unpleasant as the fumes have a nauseating odor and tend to leave a bitter taste in the mouth. Residents living in affected cities are looking for relief from either an infestation or the fear of having one in their own home.

Many natural remedies have hit the market since the eruption of parasites have taken over the headlines. www.gettingridofbedbugs.com founder, Jason Burkle, says, “People want relief and they don’t want to spend a ton of cash to do so.” “There aren’t many options out there and people want to be self sufficient,” he explains.

Jason developed Bed Bug Shredder as a natural alternative to heavy chemical sprays. “Either you can go out and buy it and sit in the fumes or you can hire someone and pay through the nose. Personally, I’d rather do neither of those things,” said Jason when asked why he decided to formulate a pest control product that wasn’t made up of the classic bug killing chemicals. “They simply either don’t work, harm you and your family or just aren’t worth the hassle.” he laughed.

Bed Bug Shredder was developed by Planet Amazing for residential and commercial use. “I thought we would be selling it to homeowners but after bed bugs were reported in upscale stores and now with Howard Stern finding them in studio and car, it has become obvious that no one is immune.” said Jason. “ People have a misconception that only dingy, dirty and cheap places harbor parasite. If this isn’t a wake-up call I don’t know what it will take.”
