Hot Dogs Saved My Life! That’s right, after owning and operating a small chain of furniture stores and making a huge income for years... It all collapsed. I don’t know if you noticed but about 4 years ago the economy went to crap.

Over extended, over built, his business couldn’t hang on for a few short months before he was forced into bankruptcy, lost his home, his farm, his sheep, goats, horses, cattle (yes, he really had a farm). He lost everything.

He and his wife moved their family of 7 into a 3 bedroom single-wide mobile home. It was hell. He began his search, he tried selling cars, tires and even tried a multi-level marketing program (which he had promised himself to never do again).

After struggling for awhile, he ran across a story of a family in a similar situation who’d bought a hot dog cart and started making a living.

Pride was gone by this time, but he still contemplated the idea of working a cart out in front of the same people whom had once perceived him upon a pedestal in their small community.

After selling everything he had left, tools, clothes (no not all of em), toys, just about everything he couldn’t live without, including his favorite and only lawnmower. Borrowed a few hundred from family and got the first cart. 7 weeks later, he had 3 carts, all paid for with the profits from the first cart.
