Motorola teams up with Camiant and Sandvine in deployment of an end-to-end solution with StarHub of Singapore

ATLANTA - 10 April 2006 - Motorola, Inc. (NYSE: MOT) today announced the world’s first commercial implementation of PacketCable MultiMedia (PCMM) through deployment of an end-to-end solution with StarHub of Singapore. The solution includes Sandvine’s (AIM:SAND) award-winning PCMM application manager, Camiant’s PCMM policy server, as well as Incognito’s and Interactive Enterprise’s provisioning software.

The announcement was made at The 2006 National Show (Georgia World Congress Center, Atlanta) where Motorola is exhibiting at Stand #1537.

The Motorola PCMM solution enables Quality of Service (QoS) for the rollout of advanced, revenue-generating IP services. As operators migrate to IP-based services, only Motorola is currently qualified to deliver both infrastructure equipment and system management applications based on the latest CableLabs® standards for PCMM.

Motorola is overseeing and managing the end-to-end integration of technology solutions that will enable StarHub’s PCMM system rollout. Key components of the end-to-end solution for StarHub include the Motorola Broadband Services Router 64000 (BSR 64000) – the first Cable Modem Termination System (CMTS) to receive PCMM Qualification within DOCSIS® 2.0 from CableLabs - Motorola’s system integration services, Camiant’s policy server, Sandvine’s PCMM application manager, and Incognito’s and Interactive Enterprise’s provisioning software.

"As the leading residential broadband provider in Singapore, StarHub is always looking at new technologies, including PCMM, to deliver the best broadband experience possible for our customers" said Thomas Ee, Senior Vice President, IP Services, StarHub. "We are delighted to work with Motorola, Sandvine, Camiant, Incognito, and Interactive Enterprise in the deployment of the PCMM solution in order to further enhance our operational efficiency in the provisioning of our cable broadband service. By improving our service provisioning, this will allow us to serve our customers’ needs better"

“As consumers continue to demand the latest in seamless communication and enhanced entertainment, QoS becomes increasingly important for maintaining a high standard of service delivery,” said Charles Dougherty, corporate vice president and general manager, Motorola Connected Home Solutions. “StarHub has clearly taken a leadership position by turning to the PCMM platform for ensuring QoS, and we are pleased to work with the company through this PCMM deployment.”

Motorola’s end-to-end PCMM solution has been developed in conjunction with Camiant’s PCMM policy server and a recent global distribution agreement between Motorola and Sandvine Incorporated. Sandvine’s application manager improves network control by giving operators the ability to identify, analyze, mark and prioritize broadband traffic. In working with Camiant, Sandvine, Incognito, and Interactive Enterprise, Motorola combines Camiant’s policy-based access to dynamic bandwidth allocation for customer applications; Sandvine’s strong application management solution; as well as Incognito’s and Interactive Enterprise’s software provisioning expertise with Motorola’s own heritage of technology innovation and a long history of delivering broadband services across a wide variety of network architectures.
