Undercurrent MOBILE Launches Mobile App Platform for Colleges and Universities

CampusCurrent™ (www.mycampuscurrent.com) will be live at 4 major university campuses on October 1st, 2010. The mobile application was designed in partnership with university and college officials to feed approved campus content to current university and college students. By January 1st, 2011, 6 more university faculties will have selected CampusCurrent™ as their “Official Campus App”, which is available to students as a free smartphone download.

The platform provides campus communications departments with the ability to instantly reach current students by providing them with real-time fingertip access to campus events, academic dates, phone directories and campus news on the most popular BlackBerry®, iPhone®, iPod Touch® and Android® smartphones. The 712kb* download installs a branded mobile application developed by Undercurrent Mobile in collaboration with each participating university and college. Data usage and content update frequency is optimized based on typical student data plans and usage patterns. Participating post-secondary institutions receive monthly reports that provide the tools necessary to further improve and optimize content for their students.
