Deutsche Bahn at the InnoTrans 2010

The mobility and logistics group presents its full range of services for the railways

Berlin - Deutsche Bahn is one of the largest exhibitors at this year’s InnoTrans from 21 to 24 September 2010 in Berlin. Under the motto “Innovation From Tradition”, the company will be presenting its full range of services for the railways with an invitation to engage in dialogue. “All over the world we see a renaissance of the railways with huge infrastructure projects in the USA, China, Russia and the Gulf Region. We are using InnoTrans as the leading branch meeting place to expand and enhance our business relytions on a global scale”, said Dr. Rüdiger Grube, CEO and Chairman of Deutsche Bahn AG.

The DB Group’s exhibition presentation can be found in hall 18, stand 110. The focus of the 600 m² exhibition stand is the restored “Adler”, surrounded by five theme islands belonging to the overall railway system: rolling stock, railway operations, infrastructure, personnel management and the environment. DB is also present at the Career Point in hall 8.2, stand 140i (DB Human Resources) and in the outside area, track G1/21 (DB Rolling Stock Maintenance) and G4/21 (DB System Technology). Here the business unit DB Rolling Stock Maintenance presents an innovative four-axle one-sided box tipper and a new bogie for rail freight transport that reduces noise emissions and wear-and-tear on the track. The new DB Rail Construction Group shows its range of services in hall 25, stand 216, while DB Urban can be found in hall 4.1, stand 214.

At the opening of the fair on Tuesday 21 September, DB CEO Dr. Rüdiger Grube will be taking part in the top level European and Asian Rail Summit (EARS). This export forum is entitled “Globalisation of the rails: new chances for a proven means of transport.” The afternoon then features the ceremony for presenting the DB Supplier’s Award at the DB exhibition stand in hall 18. Dr. Volker Kefer, Member of the DB Board for Technology and Infrastructure, will be awarding the prize to suppliers for their outstanding performance and achievements.
